Alternators & Stators (Tohatsu)

Tohatsu stators and alternators generate the electrical power your outboard engine needs to run. The stator uses the spinning flywheel to produce alternating current (AC) for the ignition system and battery charging. An alternator kit or lighting coil is often added to smaller motors to provide this charging capability, while larger outboards use standard automotive-style alternator systems. All setups require a rectifier/regulator to safely convert the raw AC power into standard 12V DC power for your boat's battery and electronics.
