Important Fitment Information

  • The primary identification measurements are
  • 67.5 mm OD × 17.1 mm ID × 16.18 mm high – 6 blades – key drive.
  • Do not select the impeller solely by horsepower. Suzuki used different impellers on engines with similar horsepower ratings.

  • DF30 ≠ automatically DF30A.

Signs the Impeller Needs Replacing

  • Inspect or replace the impeller if the tell-tale stream becomes weak or intermittent, the engine overheats, a temperature alarm activates, the rubber becomes hard or cracked, blades remain permanently bent, sections of blades are missing, or the water-pump service history is unknown.
  • CEF recommends regular inspection because the rubber hardens with age and damaged blades can break away and enter the cooling system.
