Suitable Surfaces & Applications
- A1020 is suitable for steel, wrought iron and galvanised iron. With appropriate preparation/primer, it can also be used on aluminium, alloys, ZINCALUME® and stainless steel.
- For marine and trailer use, typical applications include boat-trailer chassis components, brackets, guards, weld repairs, fabricated steel parts and damaged galvanised surfaces where a satin-black protective finish is required.
For Higher Corrosion Protection
- For mild steel, welds or highly corrosive environments, Silver Zinc Supplies recommends applying Grey Zinc first, allowing approximately 4–6 hours drying time, followed by two coats of Black Zinc.
