The Genuine Tohatsu 309-03192-0 Carburettor Drain Screw is an OEM component fitted to the carburettor float chamber on selected Tohatsu 2.5HP and 3.5HP 2-stroke outboards. The screw allows fuel to be drained from the carburettor bowl during servicing, storage or fuel-system maintenance. It works with a separate sealing gasket to prevent fuel leakage when tightened.

Important
- When replacing 309-03192-0, inspect the 309-03193-0 drain screw gasket as well. A flattened, hardened, cracked or missing gasket can cause fuel leakage even when the drain screw itself is in good condition.

- Stripped or damaged threads
- Screw is bent or corroded
- Fuel leaks around the drain screw
- Screw cannot be tightened correctly
- Original screw has been lost during carburettor servicing
- If fuel leaks from this area, check the drain screw gasket before assuming the screw itself is faulty.
Maintenance Advice
- The drain screw can be opened to remove fuel from the carburettor float chamber before extended storage or carburettor servicing. When reinstalling, tighten it only enough to achieve the correct seal—excessive tightening can damage the screw, gasket or carburettor body.
