The FSP7AB Dual Power Trailer Socket combines a standard 7-pin flat trailer socket with a 50A high-current connector in one compact vehicle-side unit. Designed for caravans, camper trailers and boat trailers requiring both conventional lighting circuits and auxiliary power, it also features a built-in Nite-Lite LED and normally-open reed switch to make connecting the trailer easier in low-light conditions.

Dual Power Design

  • The FSP7AB combines two electrical connections into one housing. The 7-pin flat socket handles the conventional trailer electrical connection, while the separate 50A connector provides a higher-current connection for appropriately wired auxiliary equipment.
  • This makes it particularly useful for caravans and camper trailers requiring auxiliary battery or other high-current power connections while still retaining a standard 7-pin flat trailer connection.

Nite-Lite & Reed Switch

  • A built-in LED Nite-Lite assists when connecting the trailer in low-light conditions. The unit also incorporates a normally-open reed switch, allowing the lighting feature to be integrated neatly into the combined socket assembly.

Suitable Applications

  • Suitable for caravans, camper trailers, boat trailers, enclosed trailers and other towing applications requiring both a conventional 7-pin flat electrical connection and a separate high-current power connection.

Signs the Trailer Socket Needs Replacing

  • Replace the socket if the housing is cracked, contacts are corroded, terminals have become loose, the high-current connector shows heat damage, the 7-pin plug no longer fits securely, or trailer lighting and auxiliary power operate intermittently.
