GPS Operation
- Unlike a conventional marine speedometer that relies on water pressure from a pitot pickup, the 3UW-72682-0 uses an integrated GPS antenna to determine vessel speed.
This makes it particularly useful where
- no pitot hose is installed,
- the outboard's water-pressure speed pickup is unavailable,
- a cleaner helm installation is preferred, or
- GPS-derived speed is preferred over water-pressure-derived speed.

- Because the 3UW-72682-0 is a GPS speedometer with its own internal GPS antenna, its application is primarily determined by the boat's helm electrical/instrument installation rather than a specific outboard horsepower.
