Rear Hanger Design
- The 92212 is used at the rear of the spring installation rather than as the fixed front spring-eye hanger. Its purpose is to provide the mounting point required for the rear spring/shackle arrangement, allowing the leaf spring to change effective length as the suspension moves through its travel.
- This movement is important because a leaf spring flattens and lengthens as load is applied.
Suitable Applications
- Suitable for boat trailers, box trailers, utility trailers and other compatible trailer suspension systems using 45mm-wide leaf springs with 1/2" rear suspension hardware.
Signs the Rear Spring Hanger Needs Replacing
- Replace the hanger if the mounting hole becomes elongated, the hanger is bent or cracked, the spring or shackle develops excessive sideways movement, the mounting bolt or threads are damaged, welds are cracked, or corrosion has significantly weakened the bracket.
