Compatible Outboards
- The M66 is a steering-system component rather than an engine-specific replacement part.
- This makes it suitable for many compatible Tohatsu, Mercury, Mariner, Yamaha, Suzuki, Honda, Johnson and Evinrude outboards, provided the engine has the appropriate standard tilt-tube steering arrangement and the boat requires a 12 ft cable.
Helm Compatibility
- The M66 Fast Connect cable is compatible with appropriate Ultraflex mechanical steering helms and is also specifically stated to work with SeaStar helms that use the SSC62-style cable.
- When replacing an existing cable, the connection type and required cable length should both be checked. A 12 ft cable should not automatically be substituted for another length simply because the helm connection matches.
