The NGK BPR7HS-10 (Stock No. 1092) is a resistor-type, projected-tip spark plug widely used in selected 2-stroke outboard motors. Important Fitment Information
- BPR7HS-10, BP7HS-10, B7HS-10 and BR7HS-10 are not automatically interchangeable.
- In NGK terminology, P indicates the projected-tip configuration, while R denotes a resistor plug. The -10 denotes a nominal 1.0 mm electrode gap. The engine manufacturer's specified plug should therefore be followed rather than selecting a plug solely by horsepower.
- This distinction is particularly important with Tohatsu engines. For example, Tohatsu currently lists BPR7HS-10 for M4, M5, M6, M8 and M9.8, while other models use BR7HS-10, BPR6HS-10 or different plugs.
