Important Fitment Information

  • The “-9” suffix corresponds to the 0.9 mm nominal plug gap, but Honda's service specification permits an electrode gap of 0.80–0.90 mm (0.031–0.035"). Do not select CR5EH-9 solely by horsepower. Honda used different plugs in apparently similar engines. For example, NGK's marine catalogue specifies DR5HS for selected BF8A engines, while BF8D-series engines use CR5EH-9.
