Signs the Wheel or Tyre Needs Replacing
- Replace or professionally inspect the assembly where there is sidewall cracking, bulging, cuts, exposed cords, excessive tread wear, persistent pressure loss, severe rim corrosion, rim distortion, cracks around the wheel centre, elongated stud holes or damaged wheel-nut seats.
- Boat trailer wheels should also be checked on the inside face and around the tyre bead, where corrosion may be less obvious.
