Side-Wind Design
- Unlike a conventional jockey wheel with the winding handle positioned on top, the JW27A uses a side-mounted winding handle. This can make it easier to operate where vertical clearance is limited. Side-wind jockey wheels are specifically used where obstructions such as toolboxes or other drawbar equipment can interfere with a conventional top-wind handle.
Suitable Applications
- The JW27A is suitable for compatible boat trailers, tandem and single-axle trailers, camper trailers and general-purpose trailers requiring an 8-inch heavy-duty jockey wheel.
- For marine use, routinely rinse the jockey wheel after saltwater exposure and inspect the wheel, mounting bracket, handle, spindle and fasteners for corrosion or wear.
