The 91540 6" Red Poly Self-Centring Roller is designed to support the keel while helping guide the boat towards the trailer centreline during retrieval. Measuring approximately 152mm / 6" wide with a 17mm bore, it is suited to a 16mm spindle. Its soft red polyurethane construction provides durable, non-marking hull contact and is particularly well suited to fibreglass and gelcoat boat hulls.

  • Centre Bore: 17mm / 0.669"
  • Recommended Spindle: 16mm / 0.630"

Self-Centring Design

  • Unlike a conventional straight keel roller, the 91540 has a shaped self-centring profile. As the keel contacts the roller, the profile helps guide it towards the middle, assisting with boat alignment during retrieval.
  • This makes it particularly useful in centreline positions where the boat needs guidance before reaching the bow stop.

Suitable Applications

  • The 91540 is suitable for boat trailer keel and centreline support positions, particularly where additional assistance with boat alignment is desirable.
  • The soft red polyurethane contact surface makes it an excellent choice for fibreglass and gelcoat hulls, where a softer, non-marking roller is generally preferable to hard blue nylon/poly rollers.

Signs the Roller Needs Replacing

  • Replace the roller if the polyurethane becomes cracked, split, deeply grooved, flattened or distorted. An elongated bore, excessive sideways movement or poor rotation can also indicate wear. Inspect the spindle at the same time for corrosion, bending or wear grooves.
