Suitable Surfaces & Applications
- A1001 can be used on steel, wrought iron and galvanised iron. With appropriate preparation/primer, it can also be applied to aluminium, alloys, ZINCALUME® and stainless steel.
- For marine and trailer workshops, it is particularly useful for touching up boat-trailer chassis, brackets, guards, welds, fabricated steel components and areas where an existing galvanised coating has been damaged.
For Maximum Corrosion Protection
- For mild steel, welds or more corrosive environments, the manufacturer recommends applying Grey Zinc first, allowing it to dry for approximately 4–6 hours, and then applying two coats of Silver Zinc.
