Signs the Bolt Needs Replacing
- Replace the bolt if it is bent, heavily corroded, has damaged threads, shows significant wear where it passes through the bracket or bushings, has a damaged head, or creates excessive play in the bracket assembly.
- When replacing it, inspect the nylon locking nut, washers, distance plate and bracket/bushing surfaces at the same time.
