The TBHE14 14" Tow Bar Extension provides additional clearance between the vehicle and trailer connection or hitch-mounted accessory. Designed for a standard 50 × 50mm (2" × 2") square tow bar receiver, it provides 355mm (14") between the pin-hole centres. Featuring robust welded steel construction and a black powder-coated finish, it is ideal where additional clearance is required around rear bumpers, spare wheels or hitch-mounted accessories.

Tow Bar & Receiver Compatibility

  • The TBHE14 fits compatible 50 × 50mm square tow bar receivers, commonly referred to as 2" receivers. It is suitable for SUVs, 4WDs, vans, light trucks and other vehicles fitted with the correct receiver.

14" Extension Design

  • The 355mm / 14" pin-centre extension moves the hitch connection substantially further behind the vehicle than the shorter TBHE9.
  • This can provide useful additional clearance where a rear-mounted spare wheel, bumper, bodywork or another obstruction interferes with a trailer coupling, bike carrier or compatible receiver-mounted accessory.

  • Suitable for boat trailers, box trailers, utility trailers, camper trailers, compatible caravan applications, bike carriers, hitch-mounted carriers, vehicles with rear spare wheels, and vehicles requiring additional clearance behind the rear bumper.

Signs the Tow Bar Extension Needs Replacing

  • Replace the extension if the receiver tube is bent or distorted, hitch-pin holes become elongated, welds show cracking or damage, excessive movement develops between the extension and receiver, or corrosion has significantly weakened the steel.
